Resurrection
If at first you don't succeed, wait a year and try again.
Last year I was trying make a nearly 30 year old synthesizer work. It had worked a year or two prior to that, but this time I couldn't get any reasonable levels from the audio outs. The noise obliterated the signal. I tried different cables, different mixer inputs, menu diving (not fun on old synths), factory reset, but nothing worked. Almost sent it to the electronics recycle bin, but I kept it in case I got bold enough to open it up to see if something was fried in the output circuit (as if I would know how to do that).
Yesterday, a year and a half later, I decided to try again. It worked fine.
I can make cheesy music with it again!
